Christmas task 2

Today I made my own wrapping paper for Christmas. I designed it with an idea and tried it and it worked out really well it was a Christmas theme I went to A Roodoph them. it was fun to do but the hard bit was making the snow.

Today I made a Christmas wreath for our digital challenge. I had an idea of how make so tried it worked surprisingly it worked out fine it took A while but I got there, in the end, to make it look the best it can be.

Survivor Celebration

Today I was doing Our Whetu survivor celebration It was so much fun we did cooking, orienteering, word hunts. For our cooking, we made potato sandwichs and banana splits. They tasted soo Good! when I tasted it I wanted more. I also tried making a spark with flinch I tried but  I did.nt do it I liked the treasure hunt because it was challenging we went around the whole school to find the letters to make the word burrito. I found one of the words by my self because I had a feeling it was there.

Fab Finish

For the past two weeks, we have been designing our Fabulous finish. Fabulous finishes are the like say the "bomb!" like the best your chapter chat can be I did the more about me and I did the character Patina. when we were reading the book I took all the information about patina and then put it all on my fab finish. the fab finish is so much fun to do and I can't wait to do it again. And  I rate the book an 8/10

This week I made a medal that coach Brody won at the Olympics. I designed the medal in my artbook and drew it on a piece of paper then I laminated it then I put a piece string on it so I could put it around my neck.

Clove hitch

This term we have been doing Whetu survivor This week I have been  doing knots we have been practicing knot for survival

This is a clove hitch knot. I think I would use a clove hitch knot for tying something up to the tree of camping
The difficulty of making this knot was A 5/5 because it was simple and I can do this knot whenever and I can do it with my eyes closed.

Butterfly knot

This is A butterfly knit that I did In Whetu survivor this term.

I would use the butterfly knot if I am putting up a tent or camping I thought at first the butterfly knot was hard but when I tried it It wasn't so hard The difficulty for me making the butterfly knot is 4/5 for me because it was a little tricky. this is a link to a website that I found lots of knots to do 

Reef knot

This term we have been doing Whetu survivor. This is a reef knot I did 3 knots and I made them into A blogpost for our Whetu survivor.

I think I would use the reef knot to use if I went camping. and if my clothes got wet I could make a clothesline. I practiced A bit until I did the knot but I got there in the end and I did it.

The difficulty I have with this knot was 5/5 because it was a simple knot Because I tried doing it with my eyes closed. I found A link to a website that had a lot of knots to do.

The difficult thing was making the tarpaulin tent because we tried sticking the sticks in the holes with the tarpaulin because we thought it would stick but it didn't.

The easy thing was making the tent because we followed the instructions and we made the tent quickly. 

The key skill I learned was if  I went coming I know how to survive and make a shelter.

I would rate resilience a 5 because I didn't give up and I took my time.

Build A Shelter!

The two types of shelters we chose were:

1. Simple Tarp Shelter
2. Dugout shelter

We chose the simple tarp shelter because when hiking tarp is very light and won’t hold you back to much. We also chose it because you can feel close to nature when you are in it. 

We chose the dugout shelter because all you need is just a knife to cut the branches into the right side and a shovel to use the dirt for it and it will be nice and damp on hot days.

We think that a simple tarp shelter would be good for a tent because it is light to carry and would be easy to travel with. 

We think that dugout shelter would be good for a tent because all you need is two things which is a shovel and a knife

Pros for the simple tarp shelter are that you can connect with nature when sleeping. Also, a tarp is hard to damage so you can get multiple uses out of it. 

Pros for the dug out shelter are that you need only need two things for it which is a knife and a shovel

Cons for the simple tarp shelter are it’s only tarp so it might get cold when you are sleeping. Also it’s plastic so it’s bad for the environment. 

Cons for the dugout shelter is that you need to dig for dirt.

Our favourite part about simple tarp shelter is that it’s hard to break and can be used multiple times.

This week I have been working on a  project on how to make a shelter in the wilderness.
The best place to build a shelter is on higher ground and somewhere where it is clear so if you got hurt badly someone can find you and not on a slope.
Shelter protects you from the wind, rain, sun, and snow. If you did.nt have shelter and say it was snowing badly and the snow got high then you would freeze.
If you were building a shelter in the wilderness you would want to use tarpaulin, rope and something you would need to put the rope on.
A good place to sleep in the wilderness and in a shelter because if there was really heavy rain and then there was flooding how would you sleep.

This week I have made a motivation mobile that Coach brody dove all the kids to when they went to Chinese and he also used it when he told the kids to run then-coach brody was behind them on the motivation mobile.

Calf Club 2019

On Wednesday 23 rd of October was Calf Club. I competed in the calf club with my calf Moro. Moro did really well for a calf that I didn't work with for 3 weeks since I was away We got merit, merit, Second and first which was really good. The hardest thing was leading because my calf would not move. The most fun part was doing the calf club and having fun with my calf. soon we are going to group day and it is when schools go up against each other.

Week 2 term 4 Chapter Chat

This week I did the digital design I made the shoes on Nike id and then created ghosts running clothes
It was A, a little bit hard but fun at the same time. These are some facts I found out about Why runners need to wear special clothes because it helps them run faster and it keeps you warm when it is cold.

Calander Art 2019

Last term I was making my colander art. I took my time so I could make it look amazing I was sort of tricky but I managed to complete it. It was a Zentangling piece of art It took a lot of work but I made, in the end, it was a lot of fun and I hope to do it again.

Week 9 fabulous finish

For the past weeks, I have made a fabulous finish for our book HOLES. we had a choice whether we make a character description or a character model I  chose the character model, I made the warden because she is my favorite character.

Week 7 Chapter Chat.

This week for Chapter Chat I have made the treasure box that Stanley and Zero found this was a digital design and I made this on a thing like a google drawing. I pictured a treasure box in my head and made it.

Week 6 Chapter Chat

This week I did a warden poster. I planned this in my artbook and then did it on a piece of paper.  I thought that sand would be a good background for the warden because she lives on a desert so that was my plan and then I made it look realistic.

Week 5 Chapter Chat.

This week I have made a backpack that has things in it that you should you if you want to survive in the desert. I did research on what to use when you're in the wilderness I made this By planing It out and then drawing it It took a while to find out how to draw the bag but I saw my bag so I tried drawing it.

Week 4 Chapter Chat Way with words

This is my week 4 Chapter chat I Stanley's diary. I wrote down on my art book of what Stanley wrote in his diary and then put in in the dairy.
I decorated the front and the back of my book and made it look like a diary.
If you cant see what it says it says Camp Green Lake is the best A.k.A WRONG it is the worst all you do is dig holes and apparently, it makes you better than before but I am not so sure that is true. besides some kids have weird nicknames like X-Ray, Armpit, Zig-Zag And zero all I want to do is go home I don't want to be stuck here for the rest of my life.

This week I have been doing a digital design about my nickname, it is  Clo Clo.  In our book we have been reading, Stanly finally has a nickname. He is called the caveman.

This is a drawing of a water truck going to Camp Green Lake from our new book. I made it by planing it out and then doing my good drawing of it. I also used sharpies for the background and the truck.

This week I was researching about Walt Disney and Albert Einstien. in the book, Mr. Daniels wrote down the names of famous people in the world and the kids could do an assignment about them.

I drew a school and this is some poster so kids in the school can vote for Ally.

Week 5. vocab challenge

This week me and my friend Madison made cards to tell you what sacrifice, diagonally, incorporate, opponents and logically. you can use a smart shute so the word goes in first and then when it comes out it tells you the meaning.

Week three chapter chat

This week I mad a color wheel that ally made, To make the color wheel you need paper, glue stick, ruler, string And cardboard. fist you draw a circle then you make 8 or 7 lines and color them in the rainbow colors. then you cut out the circle and make one on the cardboard. then you glue it and get a pencil to make you holes to put the string threw.

My Highlight of camp.

My highlights of camp.
these are two photos of what I did on camp. on the left-hand side are me and Paige doing activity in top town. the other one is when we were about to walk off to the fireplaces to make damper.
My highlight of the camp was the flying fox because it went really fast and it was really cool. my second highlight of the camp was going carts because I learned how to drive.

This is my final book buzz task, for now, this is a model of bens dog peg. Peg is a loving, caring. and happy dog sadly peghead past away in the last chapter so ben and buried her where the four babies red-necked phalaropes where born.

Totara Springs Camp (what i'm most looking forward to)

I am most looking forward to the foam slide because it looks really fun to go on and I will go really fast. I am a bit nervous because I'm away from home and this is my first camping trip away from home but it will be a blast!!!.

Trying something new!

I was a bit scared when I walked to the shops on my own because no one was with me and I was scared If I had got kidnapped but I got there, and I walked back home safely.

My Research On Leptospirosis

This is research on LEPTOSPIROSIS
