Catupult Challenge

Whetu Catapult Challenge
The things that I used to make my catapult were: 3 rubber bands, 8 small iceblock sticks, 2 big iceblock sticks, and a spoon.
To make my catapult I worked with Jolie.
The most challenging part was making our catapult go far and not to break anything when I was slingshotting it.
Our best results were our catapult went 22 meters and we got into the semi-finals.
Overall I think that our one went pretty good and we tried our best.

Emoji Creation

This week I made some emojis. It was a bit hard but I got there in the end. This here is my laughing emoji. I tried to make a mouth but It doesn't, really look like one. I made a sunglasses emoji it was quite hard because it took a long time to make them because I had to get a lot of shapes to fill them in. I made a winking tung emoji I tried to make a tung but I think t looks ok. I made a Whetu emoji. I tried to make some stars since our theme is stars. I made the original Smiling emoji. I used a moon shape to make them smile. I made I winking love heart emoji. I thought this one would be cool for Valentine
day or something I tried to draw lips but they are a bit messy but oh well.

Week 1 Reflection

What has been my highlight this week is seeing the dolphins in the Piako and seeing all of my friends

What was I nervous about this week. Coming back to school, forgetting something

For dress-up day I dressed up as a tiger and A funky person.

The funniest thing has happened this week is all the teachers dressing up.

I think the best-dressed person was Taylor because she dressed up and a motorbike person and not many people knew it was her.

Milk bottle creation.

On Wednesday the 20th of May it was an offline day at school. I made a boat out of a milk bottle. At first, I painted my milk bottle yellow and blue because I thought it could give the boat a little bit of a pop.  Once it was dry I poked a hole in the bottle with a skewer to make a sale hold but then I thought why don,t I add some detail I made a steering wheel, a person to drive the boat and some windows. The hardest part was picking the skewer into my bottle. I enjoyed everything because it was all so much fun.

Fabulous Finish Character model

This week I did a character model of Dribble the turtle. I tried my best to draw a turtle and then I colored it in, I was,nt so sure if a  turtle shell was green or brown because there Are differences between turtles because there are normal turtles and sea turtles. I made a flap that has all the things about dribble. I put some leaves and lettuce around dribble because I know that turtles like eating lettuce and leaves.

Chapter Challenge Commercial

This week I did a commercial for toddler bikes. I planed my scene and scripts and I practiced them before I  filmed it. I drew a toddler bike but then I thought even though it is made out of paper I stuck It onto my wheelie chair so I could pretend that I was biking.
