Chapter Challenge Fantastic favourite

This week I did fantastic favourite. I made a zip line from when the kids were going across the river. I planed it in my art book then I made it I got a piece of cardboard and painted it I made the river in the middle then I painted it green to look like hills then I painted the sky. I painted some ice block sticks brown Then i got some leafs to make the top of the tree. I got some string and tied it up to the trees then I made the kids, Dumpling and Treckle and Beckett. I made a little thing that goes across the zip line that has Fancies book and some food.

Research centere Week 7

This week I have made a slide about Boater hats and Bowler hats be in the story the because    kids came across two mountain's that they name mt bowler and mt boater. They named them that because one mountain was round and the other one was flat like a boater hat. I did this with OJ we did lots of research about bowler and boater hats. we put all of our research on a slide so that was that way we could present it.

Digital design Chapter Challenge

This week I have done digital design for my chapter challenge. It was I bit hard to find the right shapes for making the people but I tried my best and I made it work. I tried to make it look as realistic as possible like putting stream clouds on the pipe so it looks real.

Way with words Chapter Challenge

This week I have done a way with words for chapter challenge. The task was to make a letter from Ma to send it to the kids. I made a draft of what she would say in my artbook then write it in my freedom writing. But thought if this story was based years and years ago I thought of making the letter look old so I scrounged up the paper and then I put some tea on it to dye the paper brown So it looks fragile and old.

CC Staion 2020

For the past week, we have been reading a book called the Mapmakers race. It is all about these kids who got stranded in a town and they have no money so they entered a race to win 1,000 dollars they have to make a map from Grand prospect to New cole haven.  one of the activities was to make a dray so I made one.  I made it out of cardboard, string, paper,  ice block sticks, and a  straw. I glued a straw to the bottom of my dray then I made some wheels out of cardboard. then I made a hole in the middle of the wheel so I could connect it with my dray but then I thought a draw drays have wood so I used the ice block sticks and then I glued them to my dray. then I made a person driving the cart and i made a horse because drays got towed by horses. I also made a drink bottle so the person doesn't get thirsty and a sandwich so he doesn't get Hungary too. 

  

Pepeha star 2020

Over the last week, I have been working on my visual pepeha. 

I am proud of how I presented my pepeha. I was a little tricky but I tried my best and I made it.

What I found challenging was Drawing the pictures because I am not that good at drawing. It was tricky to do. but I think it looks similar.

I worked with my Mum to create my whanau star.

First blog post 2020

The activity I have enjoyed the most this week is the water slide was the water activities and the fruity tooty game. I enjoyed them because it was a team bonding experience not just for me but for everyone to make new friends and get to know people a little better.

What I am most looking forward to this year is the year six bike ride and lots of other things that we will do this year

I am excited to do the bike ride because I like biking and I love spending time with my friends.
